This post is to review the AdvoCare Post Workout Recovery Drink. I have tried a lot of different recovery drinks, and there are a few things I am looking for. Most important are nutritional value, taste, and how well it mixes.
I have found that there are a lot of shakes that have good nutrition, but I have to hold my nose to get it down. Some just won’t mix, so you end up with chunks at the top of your glass. Some have a ton of protein, but are high in a lot of other things I don’t want – like calories or sugar.
So where does the AdvoCare Post Workout Recovery Drink sit with these? The mix ability is great and so is the taste. The taste is very important to me, since I try to fit in a workout every day. The protein is not very high at 12 grams, but there are a ton of vitamins packed in this recovery drink.
As far as results, if you get so sore after a workout that you can’t raise your arms high enough to wash your hair, the AdvoCare recovery drink has surprised me in how noticeable the reduction in soreness is.
